Commercial photography has always fascinated me, from an early age I was an avid magazine reader – Interiors & food magazines mainly (I think I was born 45!) How they made food look so delicious, or knowing that an entire spread about one corner of an impeccably decorated home was most definitely a set. I’ve always loved that you can create perfection amongst chaos – as long as you know how to crop properly! Which is why alongside Family lifestyle – I decided to pursue my fascination.

My favourite thing to shoot is food, there’s no doubt about that. However, I also love creating albums for small business, especially because I know how important online presence is for small business’s nowadays. And to maximise your online potential, its vital you have good photographs.

I cover everything from simple shop front photographs, to products, full food styling, headshots and even covering content creation. My degree in Advertising has been put to good use for these. From brief to shoot, I’ve got the whole process covered.

Family lifestyle sessions for me, are a dream to work on. Its how I started in the photography business, its what I’m most experienced at and its what I love to work on the most. Candid family lifestyle photography is a fairly new concept over here in the UK, and unlike the studio settings, with the twitching lipped smiles, frozen limbs and the plain back drops, you get to just breath.

For those not in the know, Candid photography is defined simply as “a form of sharp-focus photography that captures images of raw, candid human emotion in ‘real-life’ situations.”

Wether it be a day trip to the beach, a family BBQ, a stroll through the woods or even a rainy day indoors. I want to capture your family in the most natural and un-intrusive way possible.

My aim from the very beginning has been to find the balance between keeping you relaxed enough to be your authentic self and exciting you with the brilliance of our session. So after using the seasons as a guide and deciding from one of the many gorgeous nearby locations, we’ll start with a quick chat amongst everyone who’s attending, and from there I shoot nothing but what is actually happening. Its candid, its real, its beautiful. And the end results with be a collection of unique and- most importantly- genuine family memories.

It’s no secret I’m a social butterfly, always loving a chance to get out and mingle. Getting the opportunity to shoot events really brings together two of my loves. Wether its bar nights, family get togethers, workshops or celebrations. I’ve a real knack for being able to capture the essence and energy of any given festivity from the sidelines.

I’ve a particular penance for the wellness industry. A keen fascination with how these events bring people together in such a peaceful way, an understanding of the need to document these sacred moments without invasion, and a love of utilising these opportunities in my own growth.

There’s so much more to a shoot than just taking the images. Art direction is vital in creating professional work to the highest standard. Coming up to my final year as a creative advertising student and having worked on a few short films with production designer credits, I’m already well versed in the process of bringing any visual idea to life.

I've been so fortunate to work with so many creatives on short films over the years, and even luckier to have an array of photography clients that have entrusted me to take full creative control of our shoots.

I'm very much still in the growing age of Art direction and I'm loving every second of it.
